The Department of 计算机科学 at 沃拉沃拉大学 offers four bachelor degrees, one interdisciplinary bachelor’s degree, 还有两个未成年人. We also support the Computer Engineering degree, offered through WWU’s Edward F. Cross School of Engineering. All of our programs benefit from the high interdisciplinary activity between departments across campus that creates richer, 综合课程.
计算机科学 Major (Bachelor of Science)
获得B的学生.S. in computer science (CS) are prepared with the broadest array of skills for computing jobs. This course requires more CS electives and math than the B.A., but students do not need a minor or foreign language sequence. This allows for higher concentration on 计算机科学 course work, 实习, 以及相关项目.
Cybersecurity Major (Bachelor of Science)
获得B的学生.S. in cybersecurity are equipped with ethical critical-thinking and technical skills necessary for addressing the growing number and complexity of cyberattacks. 研究生s often pursue careers focusing on technology systems and management that protect hospitals, 企业, and other industries against attacks on privacy and security. Others work as forensic examiners and information systems security professionals.
Game Development Major (Bachelor of Science)
获得B的学生.S. in game development focus their computer science skills for a career in game design as programmers, 设计师, 或生产商. The Christian and liberal arts framework at WWU provides a uniquely ethical and holistic background for those interested in the evangelistic or educational power of games.
Information Systems Major (Bachelor of Science)
获得B的学生.S. in information systems (IS) understand how to integrate information technology solutions and business processes to meet the information needs of companies and other enterprises. 研究生s are prepared to pursue a variety of IS careers in business, 政府, and non-profit organizations.
计算机科学 Major (Bachelor of Arts)
获得B的学生.A. in computer science often minor or double major in graphic design, biology, business, or psychology. This course is a great way to pair computing with a second, specific discipline.
未成年人
计算机科学辅修
学生 who do not wish to earn a full bachelor’s degree in 计算机科学 may still benefit from taking a smaller selection of 计算机科学 courses. The minor in 计算机科学 can be added to any non-computing bachelor’s degree.
网络安全小
学生 with some technical skills and an interest in cybersecurity who do not wish to earn a full bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity can complete a minor in the field. This minor can be added to any non-computing bachelor’s degree, and it particularly complements various business degrees and the information systems degree.
